  • PURITI Fights Back Against Knock-Off Mānuka Honey

PURITI Fights Back Against Knock-Off Mānuka Honey - PURITI

The producer of PURITI’s Mānuka honey, Midlands Apiaries, has created a new type of packaging that is virtually impossible to copy. After new laws saw the tightening of export requirements for Mānuka honey, PURITI saw an opportunity to assist in curbing fake or low-grade Mānuka honey.

Although there is legislation to prohibit the export of low-grade Manuka honey, the same restrictions are not enforced locally.

Midlands Apiaries’ International Brand Manager, Adam Boot, has said, “The fact that [restrictions] weren’t carried out across New Zealand at exactly the same time is a real shame”. This comes after the export requirements were made prior to the local restrictions.

"The objective is to ensure that when the consumer chooses manuka, they have access to the real deal, with guaranteed testing tougher than the legislative requirements."

PURITI proudly offers consumers a choice that they can trust every time. Not only do we offer genuine Mānuka honey, but our honey is tested at levels that are tougher than the legislative requirements.
